Cruise, launch at 4, at Holland Boat Launch just west of the Restaurant, with the cruise starts at 4:30 and will be lead by WWC member Donald Swierenga. $7 launch permits can be obtained from the kiosk by the ramp and placed on your tow vehicle’s windshield.  The ramp is hard surface and water depth 2 1/2 – 3 feet. There is plenty of upper and lower boat/trailer parking near the launch site. Once you launch, you can either water-loiter, awaiting the group, or temporarily tie up at the Kollen Park docks adjacent to the ramp. We will travel counterclockwise around the lake.  There are lots of luxury homes to view.  As with all boating, avoid water areas that proceed from tips of land that are pointed out like a peninsula due to shallow water.  This is particularly true of the east side of Pine Creek Bay, deep into the east side of Pine Creek Bay and on the east side of Big Bay. The no wake zones around the lake are clearly identified with white markers.  The  most notable change is no wake for ALL vessel sizes in the Central Park Narrows. Cruise will take approximately 1.5 hours. Our suggestion is to recover your boat after the cruise, park your vehicle boat/trailer combination in one of the two Kollen Park boat parking lots, and then walk the block and a half to Boatwerks. If it’s a nice day and you would like to take a Lake Michigan sunset cruise on your own after dinner, there is dock parking both by the Kollen Park launch site and also at the Boatwerks Restaurant. We will likely be seated in small tables at the restaurant.  The outdoor patio is nice.  In prior years there were no group reservations available.

If inclement weather, there will be no alternate date.

Please RSVP to David Irvine, Cruise Coordinator at jirvine123@yahoo.com so we know to expect you for the cruise. Or if you have questions, call 269-664-5274/leave a voicemail.
