Hessel to Mackinac Island Cruise  8:30am-2:30pm

8:30am Arrive at Mertaugh Boat Works and fuel-up

9:00am Captain’s Meeting and Coffee at Mertaugh’s Boatworks

9:45am Depart – Hessel Marina / Launch

11:00am: Arrive Mackinac Island DNR Marina (advanced $10 day reservation required)

11:30am – 1:00pm Lunch on Mackinac Island (destination TBD)

1:15pm Depart Mackinac Island for Hessel

2:30pm Arrive in Hessel and refuel 

Logistics to work out: 1. Weather call  2. Determine travel speed  3. Fuel consumption (no fuel on island)  4. Need for tow / fuel boat in entourage??? 5. Lunch reservations  6. Possible Pink Pony mooring 7. Mooring at Marina:  Water levels will affect the height from the water to the bottom of the Mackinac Island Marina dock posts. If water is too low, mooring low-free-board boats safely may be a concern. The marina is not well protected from wave action.
